Mounds View City Council March 8, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />Official Rose reported that the sign court 10. <br />case had been heard the previous week, and <br />a decision would be issued by the judge on <br />March 10. <br />Attorney Meyers had no Alv-- <br />Councilmember Doty stated he attended a <br />North Suburban Cablevision meeting last <br />week, and found it very interesting. He <br />mentioned some of the potential uses of <br />a cable system, such as for police, fire <br />and emergencies. <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember Forslund reported that the <br />Council has Spring Lake Park's Comprehen- <br />sive Plan, along with a resolution from <br />the Planning Commission. Official Rose <br />stated it would be on the next work session <br />agenda. <br />Councilmember Hodges asked what the problem <br />was with Steve's Appliance, the Whirlpool <br />dealer, with it always being so junky outside. <br />Official Rose replied that Mr. Singer knows <br />he is in violation and asked what action <br />Council would like him to take. He added <br />that it was part of the development agreement <br />that there not be outdoor storage. <br />Attorney Meyers recommended that the City <br />proceed under the proper ordinances and enforce <br />the code, and file criminal charges if the owner <br />doesn't comply. Mayor McCarty asked Staff <br />to report back at the next agenda session. <br />Official Rose replied he would start by <br />drafting a letter. <br />Mayor McCarty asked Council approval for two <br />appointments to commissions. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to accept Tom <br />Gow, 8061 Pleasa:ztview Drive, and Shirley <br />Buntrock, 8045 Greenwood Drive, to the <br />Festivities Commission. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Report of Building Zoning Official <br />11.
