Mounds View City Council August 9, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />Committee, which they had not received notice for. <br />He stated he had replied that notice has always been <br />properly made of all meetings, and that the meetings <br />are open to all It was the concensus of the Council <br />that proper notice is always given and it is up to the <br />individual to find out when the next meeting will be, <br />and not the City's responsibility to notify each citizen. <br />There was also discussion regarding the amount of time <br />citizens can use up of City staff, and charging them, <br />per policy, for copies. Finance Director Brager pointed <br />out there is a resolution that requires that all requests <br />for information be submitted in writing. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had received a memo on home <br />occupations, which he understands the Planning Commission <br />will be reviewing. He also reported he had received a <br />memo on manufactured homes, which he will be going through <br />with Staff. <br />Councilmember Doty reported the legislation con- 18. Reports of <br />cerning cabel tv is before the U.S. Senate, and they Councilmembers <br />are proposing something contrary to what Mounds <br />View would want. He recommended having Staff <br />look into it and come back with a recommendation. <br />The Council directed Staff to draw up a letter <br />of opposition to Senate File No. 2172, and House <br />File No. 4929. <br />Councilmember Forslund stated she felt it was <br />very important to keep in close contact with the <br />Rice Creek Watershed District, aG they proceed with <br />a Surface Water Management Plan under the Levi bill <br />which sets time limits of 1986 and 1987 and that <br />some of the material from the conference will be <br />forwarded to the Council. <br />Councilmember Hodges had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Mayor McCarty had no report. <br />Finance Director Brager had no Clerk /Administrator <br />report. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had reviewed the pro- <br />posed bid specifications and recommended some <br />changes to them. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to approve the ground <br />maintenance specifications and contract for main- <br />19.
