Mounds View City Council September 27, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />,Mayor McCarty reported he had spoken to the chairman <br />of the Festivities Commission, and they have requested <br />*a joint meeting of the Council and Festivities Commission <br />on October 5 at 7:30 PM, to discuss Mounds View's 25th <br />anniversary. <br />Mayor McCarty reported that he had been requested to <br />have copies available to candidates for Council of the <br />budget which had just been adopted. He stated those <br />copies would be available at City Hall. <br />Mayor McCarty reported that Spring Lake Park has autho- <br />rized money to the Lakeside Park Commission to offer <br />as a reward for information to lead to the arrest and <br />conviction of the vandals who set fire to the shelter <br />building, and recommended Mounds View support it also. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported that Mr. Ernst 19. Report of <br />has accepted the City's offer to purchase three Clerk /Administra <br />buildings for $15,000. tor <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported problems had <br />been experienced with vandals at Lambert Park over <br />the weekend. Mayor McCarty recommended letters be <br />sent to residents who have been active in that area, <br />asking for their help. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard that the Council <br />adopt a policy that all acts of vandalism or theft <br />within the City, as supported by evidence within <br />their judgement, be arrests and not warnings. <br />5 ayes <br />Clerk Aaministrator Pauley reported the attorney <br />representing the Millers had gi him a handout for <br />the Council. He stated he would place the item on <br />the agenda for the next agenda session. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Doty to adjourn the 20.
