Mounds View City Council October 11, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Nine <br />-He also gave a summary of applications processed by <br />the Community Development Department, and reported <br />that they have completed the implementation of the <br />wetlands ordinance and are now working on the flood <br />plain ordinance. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Blanchard to approve the first <br />reading of Ordinance No. 321, amending the municipal <br />code of the City of Mounds View by creating Chapter <br />49, "Flood Plain Zoning Ordinance and waive the <br />reading of the ordinance, making it available at <br />City Hall for review by residents. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Attorney Meyers rF ?orted he has read the proposed <br />ordinance and finds there may be some overlap <br />between the flood plain ordinance and wetland <br />ordinance, and gave an example from page 6. <br />Director Johnson responded that the two ordinances <br />were worked in tandem, and while he feels they are <br />consistent, he cannot guarantee it. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to authorize Attorney <br />Meyers and Staff to compare Chapters 49 and 48 and <br />report back any inconsistencies. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Johnson was directed to foiward the pro- <br />posed ordinance to the DNR for their review, <br />since their comments must be received before the <br />second reading. <br />It was noted that this item was discussed earlier <br />in the meeting and will be placed on the agenda <br />for discussion at a future agenda session. <br />Park Director Anderson reported they had received <br />the purchase agreement from Ernst Movers, and they <br />are ready to go. He reported the most difficult <br />issue has been trying to locate the buildings at <br />each park, with the final decision of the Park <br />':ommission being to go with the Master Plan, even <br />,chough that may not be the most convenient location <br />at each park presently. He reviewed the proposed <br />locations for the Council and stated they would <br />put up maps in each building, showing the Master <br />9.
