Mounds View City Council November 22, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he is working <br />with New Brighton and White Bear Lake on the <br />word processor request forms, and would like to <br />have bids by the end c,f the year. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to authorize <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley to send out requests <br />for proposals, to be sent out to suppliers in the <br />area, when the specifications are completed, for all <br />three cities. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported a petition had <br />been received for a street light at 3017 Bronson, <br />and NSP has advised the location is acceptable, <br />and there are funds for the light. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to authorize Staff <br />to install a street light on the pole between 3017 <br />Bronson and 3033 Bronson, pursuant to receipt of <br />the petition. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he had received <br />a call from Dan Boxrud regarding the Long Lake Road <br />ditch, with the bonding underwriter negotiating with <br />the original subcontractor, to have him come back <br />and finish the job. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he hopes Lo <br />have the 1982 long term financial plan ready for. <br />the December 6 agenda session. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley presented the Council <br />with a copy of an article regarding the State's <br />budget problems, and reviewed Staff's progress <br />in working on the budget, as well as revenue <br />and expense projections. <br />Jerry Linke asked about the status of the signal Spring <br />Lake Park has requested. Mayor McCarty replied <br />that it is on hold at this time, and that it should <br />be made clear to Spring Lake Park what Mounds View's <br />position is, so as to not give them false hope. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to inform Spring <br />Lake Park that Mounds View has no reason, at this <br />time, to join in the construction of a light at <br />Pleasant View and Highway 10. <br />4 ayes <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />
