Mounds View City Council September 12, 1983 <br />Regular Meeting Page Nine <br />Director Johnson reported the Planning Commission <br />will be meeting at 7 PM on September 13 to work <br />on Chapter 40, and on September 21. He also <br />reported that Sharon McCarthy has also verbally <br />resigned from the Planning Commission, so there <br />is a vacancy on the Commission. <br />Attorney Meyers reviewed two recent cases concern- 19. Report of <br />ing zoning. He also reviewed an article from the Attorney <br />St. Paul newspaper regarding sewer treatment costs <br />which are to climb. 1e stated he would summarize <br />the article in writing for the Council. <br />Attorney Meyers reported that a final settlement <br />has been reached in the lawsuit with the architect <br />involved with the building of City Hall. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to authorize <br />Attorney Meyers to enter into a stipulation for <br />dismissal against Linus J. Miesch, upon receipt <br />of his check for $1,000. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Attorney Meyers reported the City had received a <br />check for $400 from L &N Disposal Co., which re- <br />presents the fine they received for being over- <br />weight in the City. <br />Attorney Meyers briefed the Council on recent <br />laws from th2 1983 session regarding the MAC <br />hearing on the airport. He advised he has <br />received one copy of the master plan for the <br />Anoka County Airport, which he is reviewing. <br />Councilmember Linke reported the Ramsey County <br />League will be meeting on September 21 in <br />White Bear Lake, regarding watersheds in <br />Ramsey County. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported that there will be <br />an educational forum at the Edgewood Community <br />Center on September 13 at 7:30 PM regarding tax <br />dollars for education. <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked that Staff pre- <br />pare a certificate of appreciation for Sharon <br />McCarthy, since she has resigned from the <br />Planning Commission. <br />Councilmember Doty reported the Park and Rec <br />Commission had toured Silver View, Groveland and <br />Lambert Parks at their meeting on September 7. <br />20.
