Mounds View City Council September 26, 1983 Meeting Page Eight Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that he will advise Staff to discontinue this practice for other than emergency items. Director Johnson presented an update on the pave- ment evaluation work done two weeks ago, and showed the recommendations made by the consultant, which agreed very closely with Staff's recommen- dations. He stated the information received from the consultant would be furnished to the MnDOT office. Director Johnson advised that the seal coating work was to be completed earlier in the evening, by dusk. Director Johnson advised the Council of the emergency work that was done at 2516 Ridge Lake on September 25 to repair a water main failure. He stated he would be giving the Council a more detailed report. Director Johnson reminded the Council the Planning Commission will be meeting with them on September 29 at 7 PM. Attorney Meyers had no report. 15. Report of Attorney Councilmember Linke reported he had attended the Ramsey County League meeting on September 21, where members of various watersheds spoke. Councilmember Hankner reported she had received a call concerning garage sale signs which are being left up, as well as nails being left in utility poles. Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that the City of Blaine has an ordinance concerning that issue, and he would get a copy to review. Mayor McCarty recommended advising the Public Works employees in the Maintenance Department to pick up the signs that have been torn down, as they are making their rounds of the City, and dispose of them properly. Councilmember Hankner asked the status of the house on Edgewood and Hillview. Attorney Meyers replied a hearing is being set to get a court order to get it demolished. Clerk /Administrator Pauley also advised that since charges of arson have been filed on the building, the County may not allow demolition until after the case is tried. 16. Reports of Councilmembers
