Mounds View City Council September 26, 1983 Meeting Page Eight <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that he will <br />advise Staff to discontinue this practice for <br />other than emergency items. <br />Director Johnson presented an update on the pave- <br />ment evaluation work done two weeks ago, and <br />showed the recommendations made by the consultant, <br />which agreed very closely with Staff's recommen- <br />dations. He stated the information received from <br />the consultant would be furnished to the MnDOT <br />office. <br />Director Johnson advised that the seal coating <br />work was to be completed earlier in the evening, <br />by dusk. <br />Director Johnson advised the Council of the emergency <br />work that was done at 2516 Ridge Lake on September <br />25 to repair a water main failure. He stated he <br />would be giving the Council a more detailed report. <br />Director Johnson reminded the Council the Planning <br />Commission will be meeting with them on September <br />29 at 7 PM. <br />Attorney Meyers had no report. 15. Report of <br />Attorney <br />Councilmember Linke reported he had attended the <br />Ramsey County League meeting on September 21, <br />where members of various watersheds spoke. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had received <br />a call concerning garage sale signs which are <br />being left up, as well as nails being left in <br />utility poles. Clerk /Administrator Pauley <br />replied that the City of Blaine has an ordinance <br />concerning that issue, and he would get a copy <br />to review. <br />Mayor McCarty recommended advising the Public <br />Works employees in the Maintenance Department <br />to pick up the signs that have been torn down, <br />as they are making their rounds of the City, <br />and dispose of them properly. <br />Councilmember Hankner asked the status of the <br />house on Edgewood and Hillview. Attorney Meyers <br />replied a hearing is being set to get a court <br />order to get it demolished. Clerk /Administrator <br />Pauley also advised that since charges of arson <br />have been filed on the building, the County may <br />not allow demolition until after the case is <br />tried. <br />16.
