Mounds View City Council December 12, 1983 Regular Meeting age Four Mayor McCarty reviewed several sections he felt required changes. He stated the Planning Commission did a tremendous job in working on the ordinance, but ran into a very difficult situation in incorporating the changes. He asked that one amendment be included, to maintain the 85 foot minimum lot width at this time, until they have more time to study it. Commissioner Quick explained that the Planning Commission used the Red Oak property as an example when making that change, and determined it could possibly make the difference of one lot. Councilmember Hankner stated she would feel more comfortable waiting to approve the ordinance, until all the Council members had had an opportunity to review the suggested changes, and then make the necessary changes, before approving the ordinance. Director Johnson explained the timetable was a self imposed one, and that the new ordinance will definitely help the Planning Commission, and that they need the text before starting on the public hearings on the map revisions. It was agreed that the Council would meet with the Planning Commission on December 21, at 7 PM, to go over the ordinance. Motion /Second: Linke /Hankner to have the second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 350, amending Chapter 48 of the Mounds View Municipal Code entitled, "Wetland Zoning Ordinance and waive the reading.
