Mounds View City Council March 26, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Six <br />Mayor McCarty reported he had received a letter from <br />the Governor's office, inviting him to a meeting on <br />April 2 regarding the appointment of the Met Council <br />Chairman, and also to bring the Citys concerns to <br />the attention of the Governor and his Staff. He <br />asked that Clerk /Administrator Pauley attend in his <br />place, as he had committments for that day that <br />could not be rescheduled. <br />Mayor McCarty also reported he had received a letter <br />from someone interested in taking over a game room <br />in the City. Clerk /Administrator Pauiey advised that <br />Attorney Meyers is reviewing it and will be giving <br />the Council his opinion. <br />Mayor McCarty reviewed what had happened at the meeting <br />he attended in Blaine regarding the racetrack, and <br />stated that he had taken no position and given no <br />indication that the City had any position, pro or con. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley advised he had received a <br />memo today from Consulting Engineers Diversified, which <br />was directed to the Racing Commission, in response to <br />Mayor McCarty's comments at the meeting. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported they had received 14. Report of <br />a thank you note from the Paradise family, for the Administrator <br />flowers. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he and represen- <br />tatives from the City of Blaine had met and interviewed <br />an applicant for the Energy Coordinator position, and <br />he will be making a recommendation to the Council at <br />their April 9 meeting. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauiey asked the Council to set <br />a date for Clean -Up Day. It was agreed to go with <br />May 19, with Staff to make the arrangements and <br />place an article in the newsletter. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Blanchard to adjourn the meeting 15.
