Mounds View City Council August 27, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Seven <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Linke to approve <br />Resolution No. 1784 as amended, and waive the <br />reading. <br />5 ayes <br />5 aYes <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mr. Biem stated that he has a potential <br />buyer for his property, who would develop <br />light industrial and part commercial, so he <br />requested the Council delay any action for <br />the next two weeks for the items on the <br />agenda. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to table <br />indefinitely Items J, K. L and M. <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Linke questioned check no. 014237 <br />on Item P, payable to John Johnson, and asked <br />Staff to double check the billing. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Doty to approve Resolution <br />No. 1875 minus check no. 014237, and waive the reading. <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Hankner to remove from 8. Remove <br />the table the Planning Commission recommenda- from <br />tion on Kinder Care. Table and <br />Considera- <br />tion of <br />Kinder <br />Care Dvlp. <br />Proposal <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Hankner asked how the marketing study <br />was done. <br />The representative from Kinder Care stated that <br />a survey was done, which revealed an excess of <br />working mothers compared to available licensed <br />day care centers. <br />Councilmember Hankner stated she had not been <br />able to find anything on a planning basis to deny <br />the request, hut she was bothered by the placement <br />of the facility. <br />Councilmember Doty questioned whether the 17 parking <br />spaces planned would be sufficient. <br />
