Mounds View City Council October 22, 1 984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and opened <br />the first public hearing at 7:40 PM. There was no <br />one present to discuss Kinder Care, so he closed the <br />pi'blic hearing and reopened the regular meeting at <br />7:40 PM. <br />7A. Public Hearing <br />Kinder Care <br />Charlotte Forslund, 7886 Sunnyside Road, stated she 8. Citizens <br />felt the concerned citizens meeting last week had Requests and <br />accomplished their goal and informed the public of Comments from <br />the newly adopted master plan. She thanked those the Floor <br />Council members who had been present and helped with <br />the meeting. She stated she would leave a supply of <br />the forms at the counter of City Hall. <br />Mrs. Werdien, no address given, asked the status of <br />the building permit they had been issued for an <br />accessory building on their property. <br />Director Thatcher explained that the Werdien's had <br />applied for a conditional use permit for the con- <br />struction of a 576 square foot building, and Staff <br />and the Planning Commission had reviewed the pro- <br />posal and the Planning Commission recommended <br />approval to the Council, and the Council had held <br />a public hearing on October 8 and issued the con- <br />ditional use permit. The Werdien's then paid for <br />and were issued their building permit, ordered the <br />trusses and excavated for the foundation. He <br />explained that a neighbor saw the excavating and <br />inquired into what was being done. At that time, <br />Staff realized that several errors had been made, <br />in that the proper notices of the hearing were not <br />sent out, and the code calls for a maximum size <br />accessory building of 400 s.f. <br />Mr. Illig, 2809 County Road H, stated he objects <br />to the buildings size and where it is located. He <br />added he had not been informed of the hearing. <br />Mrs. Illig stated she was concerned with the way <br />the lot was subdivided, and had she known the <br />request was being discussed, they would have come <br />in to object. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained the Werdien's <br />previously owned two lots, and in order to place <br />the building where they wanted it, they had to <br />combine the two lots in order to have a principle <br />structure. He pointed out that the conditional use <br />permit had been issued, and the Illig's had not <br />been notified of the hearing. <br />
