Mounds View City Council October 22, 1 984 Regular Meeting Page Two Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and opened the first public hearing at 7:40 PM. There was no one present to discuss Kinder Care, so he closed the pi'blic hearing and reopened the regular meeting at 7:40 PM. 7A. Public Hearing Kinder Care Charlotte Forslund, 7886 Sunnyside Road, stated she 8. Citizens felt the concerned citizens meeting last week had Requests and accomplished their goal and informed the public of Comments from the newly adopted master plan. She thanked those the Floor Council members who had been present and helped with the meeting. She stated she would leave a supply of the forms at the counter of City Hall. Mrs. Werdien, no address given, asked the status of the building permit they had been issued for an accessory building on their property. Director Thatcher explained that the Werdien's had applied for a conditional use permit for the con- struction of a 576 square foot building, and Staff and the Planning Commission had reviewed the pro- posal and the Planning Commission recommended approval to the Council, and the Council had held a public hearing on October 8 and issued the con- ditional use permit. The Werdien's then paid for and were issued their building permit, ordered the trusses and excavated for the foundation. He explained that a neighbor saw the excavating and inquired into what was being done. At that time, Staff realized that several errors had been made, in that the proper notices of the hearing were not sent out, and the code calls for a maximum size accessory building of 400 s.f. Mr. Illig, 2809 County Road H, stated he objects to the buildings size and where it is located. He added he had not been informed of the hearing. Mrs. Illig stated she was concerned with the way the lot was subdivided, and had she known the request was being discussed, they would have come in to object. Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained the Werdien's previously owned two lots, and in order to place the building where they wanted it, they had to combine the two lots in order to have a principle structure. He pointed out that the conditional use permit had been issued, and the Illig's had not been notified of the hearing.
