Mounds View City Council October 22, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />Finance Director Brager reviewed the activities of <br />the Finance Department for the past quarter, with <br />the main concentration being on completing the <br />budget and preparing for elections. <br />Park Director Anderson reviewed the activities of <br />the forestry and park and recreation areas for the <br />past quarter. He advised that Mary Saarion would <br />be returning to work from her maternity leave on <br />December 1. <br />Mrs. Werdine asked if there was a way to let people <br />know of the need for volunteers to work with the <br />handicapped swim program. Director Anderson replied <br />they could put an article in the newsletter. <br />Police Chief Ramacher reviewed the activites of the <br />Police Department for the past quarter. He reported <br />they will be hiring a person for the CSO after the <br />first of the year. <br />Councilmember Blanchard inquired about the missing <br />stop sign at Sherwood and Fairchild. Chief Ramacher <br />replied he would look into it. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley advised that all the <br />departments are doing very well within their <br />budgets for 1984. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed proposed Resolu- 11. Consideration of <br />No. 1823. Resolution No. <br />1823 <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Blanchard to approve Resolution <br />No. 1823 authorizing the City of Mounds View to file <br />an application and execute a grant project agreement to <br />develop open space under the provision of the Scate <br />Natural Resource Fund, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Doty to approve the memo 12.
