Mounds View City Council Hay 28, 19985 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />a ttorney Meyers replied the City has received the bulk <br />f the report from Mr. Perez, but he has not yet finished <br />the monitoring. The City has been in contact with him <br />rega thi a no court date`has yet been set. <br />He added that he had just received the review of the <br />scoping document from MAC. <br />Mayor Linke reported he and Clerk /Administrator had <br />attended a Met Council meeting, and the full Council <br />had agreed that MAC must study all the items presented <br />before proceeding. <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting at 7:51 PM and <br />opened the public hearing for the Cross of Glory <br />Lutheran Church. <br />Don Fairborn, 5511 Erickson Road and Helen Moore, 5503 <br />Erickson Road, asked if there were plans for a privacy <br />fence alongside the parking lot, and what the lighting <br />plans were. <br />Jack Holmes, a representative of the contractor, stated <br />they would consider moving the trees to the east side of <br />the property adjacent to the new addition. He added <br />the lights would be on a photocell, on short light poles <br />';nd the light would be concentrated down. <br />A representative of the church stated they would consider <br />doing an earth berm, along with landscaping, to separate <br />the parking lot from the residential area behind. <br />Mr. Holmes pointed out there will be excess fill with <br />which they can build the berm, and put plantings on top. <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing at 7:59 PM and <br />reopened the regular meeting. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Quick to issue a conditional use permit <br />to the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, for a sanctuary addition <br />to their existing church at 5472 Adams Street conditioned upon the <br />construction, sodding and landscaping of an earth berm on the east <br />side of the parking lot with the plantings being approved by the <br />City Forester. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed changes made to <br />Item A of the consent agenda. <br />Director Thatcher asked that DuAl1 Service Contractors, <br />Inc. be added to Item H. <br />ill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, asked for an explana- <br />tion of Item A. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Blanchard to approve the consent <br />agenda, as amended, minus Lem A, and waive the readings. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />6. Public Hearing: <br />Cross of Glory <br />Lutheran Church <br />7. Approval of <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion Carried <br />
