Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported Staff has <br />received all the necessary documentation for the <br />renewals, and Staff has met with Mr. Loosen and <br />Mr. Conroy, and they have agreed to meet the <br />requirements stipulated by the City. He stated <br />that he would recommend approval of all the <br />renewals. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Quick to approve the <br />renewal of on sale liquor licenses for James Loosen, <br />dba Loose Ends on 10, Patrick A. Conroy dba Muldoon's, <br />Inc., Edward Donatelle dba Donatelle's Supper Club, <br />Tony Jambor dba Bel -Rae Ballroom, and Daniel Hall dba <br />Mermaid Cocktail Lounge, Inc. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Thatcher reviewed his memo of June 20, <br />recommending awarding the pilot study for Well No. 3 <br />Phase III to Waterco, Inc. for a price not to exceed <br />$5,800. <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked if it would be possible <br />to abandon Well No. 3 and dig a new well. <br />Director Thatcher explained it would cost approximately <br />$250,000 to drill a new well, and another $100,000 for <br />a new well house. <br />Motion /Second: Haake /Hankner to award the pilot <br />study for Well No. 3, Phase III to Waterco, Inc., at <br />a price not to exceed $5,800, with the funds to come <br />from the 1985 budget under line item 700 -122 -4123. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Thatcher had no report. <br />June 24, 1985 <br />Page Five <br />15. He added Attorney <br />he had received a Rule 129 request to allow the <br />League of Municipalities and the City of <br />Minneapolis to file an amecus brief. He also <br />explained he had called the Met Council and spoke <br />to an attorney, and they have requested their <br />chairman to join in filing a brief, but was told <br />they do not have the resources available. <br />
