Mounds View City Council November 12, 1985 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />?ration /Second: Haake /Hankner to approve the Fire <br />Department's budget dated October 19, 1985 as revised <br />on October 31, 1985, which provides a contribution in <br />the amount of $104,238 on the part of the City of Mounds <br />View. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Quick to approve Resolution <br />No. 1948, inviting the citizens of Mounds View to <br />light porchlights, candles or other lights from <br />dusk to dawn on November 19 and 20, 1985 in honor <br />of world peace, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Haake to approve Resolution <br />No. 1949, approving the establishment of an ad hoc <br />task force to review alternative funding proposals <br />for the development of city -wide parks and open spaces, <br />and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />It was noted that Public Works /Community Development <br />Director Thatcher was absent, attending a class. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley noted there was a sewer <br />main break on Greenwood just north of Woodcrest, <br />and the maintenance department is using a demo <br />tractor on the break. <br />Attorney Meyers had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported Fire Chief <br />Fagerstrom has stated the actuarial report is back <br />and a copy should be coming to the City soon. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Councilmember Hankner had no report. <br />Councilmember Haake reported the Festivities <br />Commission is changing their monthly meeting to the <br />:hird Monday of each month, due to scheduling <br />conflicts. She added they have five members now <br />and the Lions and Jaycees will be helping with the <br />festival. The tentative dates are July 19 and 20. <br />7.
