Mounds View City Council March 10, 1986 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />,Director Thatcher had no report. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had received notice <br />from the Clerk of Appellate Court, in favor of <br />a judgement of $998.50 for the City in the Greg <br />Johnson case, for out of pocket expenses. He <br />added he has submitted to the District Court an <br />amended finding on the home occupation issue. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he has had discussion <br />with the attorney for the Fire Department <br />regarding their contract, and it is his opinion <br />that they are the same as an independent contractor <br />and should provide insurance coverage as any <br />other independent contractor would. <br />Councilmember Haake had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Mayor Linke reported he had ridden with the Police <br />Department on March 8th and found it very interest- <br />ing. He reported they had responded to a fire <br />call and was concerned about the amount of manpower <br />that was called out. <br />4 ayes <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he had just <br />received notice on the Ramsey County League of <br />',ocal Governments annual banquet on March 19, and <br />00 the Council to let him know if they would <br />like reservations made. <br />12. Report of <br />received an application on March 7th for the Clerk/ <br />transfer of the liquor license for Loose Ends, Administrator <br />and they have received the required $5,000 surety <br />bond. He stated he will be requesting the Police <br />Chief to start an investigation, and asked the <br />Council to set a public hearing on the matter. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Blanchard to set a public <br />hearing for 7:05 PM on April 14, 1986 to consider <br />the request of transfer for the Loose Ends liquor <br />license. <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />
