Mounds View City Council April 14, 1986 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />"".Mayor Linke presented the resolution to Mr. Quam. <br />Alice Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, informed the Council <br />of the death of Joe Schutta, brother of Barb McCarty, <br />and what the funeral arrangements were. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley requested that Item E <br />be removed from the consent agenda, as it appears <br />later on the regular agenda. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Hankner to approve the consent <br />agenda, minus Item E, and waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the request of <br />the Association for Alzheimer's and Related Disorders, <br />for a charitable gambling license. He stated it is <br />Staff's recommendation that the request be denied as <br />they do not comply with the City's guidelines. <br />There was no one present to represent the organization. <br />;Motion /Second: Haake /Blanchard to adopt Resolution <br />No. 1995, denying a charitable gambling license to the <br />Association for Alzheimer's and Related Disorders, and <br />waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the proposed <br />plans and fee schedule. <br />Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road asked who would be <br />separating the recyclable and non recyclable items, <br />and expressed concern that it would be such a lengthy <br />process that traffic would get backed up. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained that the workers <br />from Beerman Services will sort through load and take <br />out what is recyclable and then send the vehicle on <br />to the next stop. He added they will have an article <br />in the newsletter, asking people to sort their things <br />before they come. <br />Motion /Second: Haake /Hankner to approve setting <br />May 10, 1986 as Spring Clean -Up Day, with the fee <br />Schedule as noted in the March 18, 1986 memo from <br />`the Clerk /Administrator. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />7.
