PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The Mounds View City Council was called 1. Call to order <br />to order by Mayor Linke at 11:55 a.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Linke, Quick, 2. Roll Call <br />Hankner, Haake, Blanchard, <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Congressman Bruce Vento, Representative <br />Dan Knuth, Senator Steve Novak, <br />Clerk- Administrator Donald Pauley, City <br />Attorney Richard Meyers, Public Works <br />Director Steve Thatcher <br />Executive Session <br />'uly 9, =1986 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />City Attorney Meyers brought up the issue <br />of who would serve on the two committees <br />of the National Transportation Safety <br />Board, i.e. operations committee and <br />response committee. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner Blanchard moved <br />to appoint Ron Fagerstrom and Chief Police <br />Ramacher to the Response Committee and <br />Steve Thatcher and Richard Kelty to the <br />Operations Committee. <br />5 ayes 0 nayes <br />Discussion followed by all in attendance <br />regarding the deposition and safe keeping of <br />the portion of pipe that was removed from the <br />site. It was agreed that the pipe would be <br />sent to Twin City Testing and kept under lock <br />and key while testing was being performed. <br />Discussion followed by all to determine <br />official position of the City. <br />Discossion followed by all relating to <br />a neighborhood support group for the <br />residents in the pipeline disaster area. <br />It was decided to look into and organize <br />a group for that purpose. <br />Motion Carried <br />Approved Jell' 14th <br />3.
