Mounds View City Cou_.cil September 8, 1986 <br />Page Eight <br />Regular Meeting <br />',lerk /Administrator Pauley advised he will be filing an <br />pplication with the Met Council for a $15,000 three year <br />interest -free loan, which could be a source of funding <br />for hiring a consultant. He added they do not have to <br />go to bids to secure a consultant for something of this <br />nature. He stated they would need a formal proposal, <br />and suggested having the Planning Commission and Council <br />meet and indicate what they would like to do, and have <br />the anticipated consultant present, so that a proposal <br />could be submitted, and he emphasized that the City <br />would need something in writing. <br />Mayor Linke asked Clerk /Administrator Pauley to submit <br />the application to the Met Council and contact Gunner <br />Isberg, since he is the consultant they would like to <br />work with, and see if he could meet with the Council <br />and Planning Commission for a preliminary meeting. <br />An unidentified individual asked where the Northeast <br />Marine site sits presently. Mayor Linke replied it is <br />still in the fringes. <br />Director Thatcher asked the Council to grant an <br />occupancy permit for the Metro Car Wash, contingent <br />upon approval from the building inspector, so they <br />-ould start operating September 9. <br />`Bruce Holton, of the Metro Car Wash, stated he had not <br />realized they needed approval from the Council for an <br />occupancy permit, and they are ready to open. He also <br />invited the Council and Planning Commission to a ribbon <br />cutting ceremony at the car wash on September 15, at 6 PM. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Hankner to grant an occupancy <br />permit for Metro Car Wash, contingent upon approval <br />from the building inspector. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Thatcher reported American Sweepers had just <br />signed the release the Council had requested a few <br />months earlier, and asked authorization for the extra <br />payment of $500 to them. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Blanchard to authorize payment <br />of $500 to American Sweepers. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />ttorney Meyers had no report. <br />14.
