Mounds .View City Council October 12, 1987 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />gihMotion/Second: Hankner /Quick that no path will be <br />put in around Silver View Pond until engineering <br />studies have been done to determine where the path <br />should go. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember Wuori had no report. <br />Mayor Linke asked the Council to appoint Mark Simons <br />to fill the present vacancy on the Planning <br />Commission. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Hankner to appoint Mark Simon <br />to the Planning Commission, for a term through <br />December 31, 1989. <br />5 ayes <br />Councilmember Hankner noted that two applications <br />had been received for the vacancy, and both applicants <br />were interviewed by the Council at the last agenda <br />session. <br />Mayor Linke reported that the Ramsey County League <br />of Local Governments would be broadcasting their <br />October 21 meeting on Channel 16, at which time they <br />would be discussing the Ramsey County library issue. <br />Councilmember Quick pointed out the County is looking <br />for people interested in being appointed to the <br />library board, and he suggested anyone interested <br />in the position contact City Hall for an application. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley updated the Council on the <br />progress of the County Road I construction. Report of <br />Council direction, Staff had contacted the County to Clerk/ <br />request traffic controls be temporarily placed at the Administrator <br />County Road J and new Highway 10 intersection. He <br />explained the requested had been forwarded to District <br />9, and they responded that they had evaluated the <br />traffic controls at that location last year and did <br />not feel any changes were required. They did agree, <br />however, to reevaluate the situation and get back to <br />the City. <br />
