Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />!Commissioner McCarty stated the county board asked the <br />cities to give them direction, but they are more than <br />willing to listen to recommendations, and he asked <br />what the City's recommendation is for funding the <br />operating costs and what that total cost would be. <br />Mayor Linke stated the Council 11.nes not have those <br />figures, but this resolution provides a starting point <br />so that those calculations can occur by the county <br />board. He added a starting point is needed and he <br />feels the City has provided one. <br />Councilmember Hankner stated she favors a good library <br />system, and she is in support of having one in Mounds <br />View, but she still feels there are a number of issues <br />to be worked out with the other north suburban cities. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported the bids were 14. Report of <br />opened for the public improvements for the Mounds Clerk/ <br />View Business Park, and a formal recommendation will Administrator <br />be made at the December 14 meeting. He added the bids <br />appear to be quite a bit lower than was estimated. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he had received <br />a call from Jim Senden, regarding the proposed <br />Harstad Co. development, and they have agreed to <br />extend the deadline from December 7 to December 14, <br />and they will be following that up with a written <br />confirmation. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported the Barr Engineer- <br />ing report is due November 30 or December 1, and an <br />informal presentation will be made at the December 7 <br />agenda session, and a formal presentation is scheduled <br />for December 14. <br />Kay Weseman stated she was concerned with the extension <br />of the time constraints, and she appreciated the amount <br />of time the Council has spent so far, but she is <br />concerned with the vote on December 14 since one of the <br />wetland advocates on the Council will not be present <br />to vote at that time. <br />Mayor Linke explained the action has been moved back <br />to December 14 so that it can be cable cast and minutes <br />will be taken. <br />Councilmember Hankner noted his was the first <br />anniversary of the first live broadcast of the <br />City Council meetings. <br />November 23, 1987 <br />Page Seven <br />
