PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUN'tIl <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Mayor Linke at 7:02 PM on Monday, February 22, 1988. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Wuori, Quick, Blanchard, <br />Hankner and Mayor Linke. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Attorney Karney, Clerk /Administrator <br />Pauley and City Planner Herman. <br />Mayor Linke stated that due to technical problems, the <br />Council meeting would not be broadcast this evening. <br />Motion /Second: Wuori /Quick to approve the February 8, <br />1988 minutes as presented. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays 1 abstain <br />Councilmember Blanchard abstained from the vote as she <br />had not been present at the February 8 meeting. <br />DIA AP P eWEb 'Wi5 /gg <br />Regular Meeting <br />February 22, 1988 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by 1. Call to <br />Order <br />Mary Bradley, Co- Chairman of the Pinewood Playground <br />project, brought the Council up to date on the fund <br />raising activities for the playground, and upcoming <br />activities, including a spaghetti dinner on February <br />24, and penny counting day on March 5, beginning at <br />8 AM at Irondale High School. She stated that if they <br />are able to cover the complete gym floor in pennies, <br />it would amount to approximately $13,000 dollars. She <br />added local m3rchants have been very supportive, and <br />they have raised $14,000 to date, which along with the <br />$6,000 that was set aside in 1987, will help them to reach <br />their goal. <br />2.
