Mounds View City Council March 14, 1988 <br />Regular Meeting Page Thirteen <br />Mayor Linke reminded everyone that Clean -Up day is <br />scheduled for May 7, and the annual appreciation <br />dinner is set for April 9, at the BelRae Ballroom, <br />with the White Sidewalls playing. He stated tickets <br />are available through Councilmembers or at City Hall. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported the Staff is <br />scheduling the rebroadcast of the February 27 work- <br />shop with the consultant on wetlands for 7 PM on <br />March 22, 23 and 24. He stated it would be listed <br />on Channel 16. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the memo of <br />March 14, 1988 from Public Works Foreman Ulrich <br />regarding the necessity for replacing the exhaust <br />system for the motor in Well #2. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Blanchard to accept the bid <br />of Pioneer Power, Inc. for $3,200 to replace the <br />exhaust system for the motor in Well #2. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the memo of <br />March 14, 1988 from Public Works Foreman Ulrich <br />regarding the purchase of two new trucks, one for <br />the Forestry department and the other for the <br />Street department. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Quick to accept the bid of <br />Polar Chevrolet and purchase the 1/2 ton and 3/4 <br />ton pick -up trucks and plow, at a cost of $23,324.00. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley advised the Council <br />that 1988 would be a significant year for local <br />governments due to the actions being taken on Federal <br />and State levels, and he reviewed some of the pending <br />legislation that could have an impact on Mounds View. <br />Mayor Linke adjourned the meeting at 9:45 PM. <br />ResPe�t�fuily subitted, <br />Ott <br />Donald Paul <br />Clerk/Administrator <br />26.
