Mounds View City Council July 11, 1988 <br />Regular Meeting Page Six <br />Mayor Linke reminded everyone of the Mayors reception <br />on July 16 at City Hall, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. They <br />have invited retired City Staff, and past Councilmembers <br />and Mayors, and the community is invited to stop in to <br />visit with them. He also reminded everyone of the <br />Festival in the Park, on July 17. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the bid opening 17. Report of <br />for the Mounds View Business Park street lighting. He Clerk/ <br />added this has been reviewed by the City Engineer, who Administrator <br />concurs with Merila Associates recommendation in the <br />bid award. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Hankner to award the contract for <br />the Mounds View Business Park street lighting to the <br />low bidder, Gephart Electric Company, Inc., in the <br />amount of $58,705. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported the City has been <br />negotiating with MnDOT to get the final details <br />settled in allowing the City to have a signalized <br />intersection at Highway 10 and Woodale Drive, and <br />after the agreement is signed by the City and State, <br />they will be able to proceed. They hope to have <br />the work completed by November, 1988. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Hankner to adopt Resolution <br />No. 2356, regarding Highway 10 /Woodale Drive signa- <br />lized intersection agreement with MnDOT, and waive <br />the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported Staff is looking <br />forward to the dance on July 13 and the Festival in <br />the Park on July 17. <br />City Planner Herman advised the Planning Commission <br />has two vacancies which need to be filled, and on <br />behalf of the Planning Commission, she requested that <br />those vacancies be posted and applications solicited <br />to fill the spots. <br />It was noted that the video tape, "Celebrate 1990" <br />would be televised immediately following the Council <br />meeting, as well as at later dates. <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />
