The Mounds View City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Linke at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 22, <br />1988. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. 2. Pledge of <br />Allegiance <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Blanchard, Hankner, 3. Roll Call <br />Wuori Quick and Mayor Linke. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Karney and Finance <br />Director Brager. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Bianchard to approve the <br />August 8, 1988 minutes as corrected. <br />4 ayes <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />0 nays 1 abstention <br />Councillmember Hankner abstained from the vote as <br />she had not been preset at the August 8 meet'_ng. <br />Regular Meeting <br />August 22, 1988 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />Lyle Hanee and Diane Archer of tha <br />Finance Officers Association stated they were <br />present to bestow an award on Mounds View fo. <br />distinguished budgeting. Mr. Hance stated It is <br />a badge of distinction to earn th s and only <br />12 have been awarded in the State of Minnesota. He <br />further explained it comes from having a policy docu- <br />ment, operation guide. finance plan and communica- <br />tion mode all in one. <br />Mayor Linke thanked Mr. Hanee and Ms. Archer on <br />behalf of the City, and presented the award to <br />Finance Director Brager. <br />Bob Butell, of the Ramsey County Charter Commission, <br />explained the Commission was having a retreat this <br />Thursday and asked for any input from the Council <br />specifically whether the County should have their <br />own charter, and addressing the future of Ramsey <br />County.
