To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5931, a Resolution Authorizing the Engineering Firm of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik, and Associates (BRAA) to Provide Engineering Services for the Manufactured Home Park Access Study. Resolution 5932 Approve the Plans and Specifications and Set a Bid Date for the Water Tower Rehabilitation Project Public Works Director Lee indicated the plans and specifications had been completed for this project and the next step is approval of those plans and setting a bid date. He then indicated that the bid date would be set for February 6, 2003 allowing for a bid to be awarded by Council on February 24, 2003 with construction to begin either April 1 or September 1. He further explained that allowing the contractor the flexibility of beginning construction in either April or September may provide the City with a cost savings on the project. MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Marty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5932, a Resolution Approving the Plans and Specifications and Setting a Bid Date for the Water Tower Rehabilitation Project. Council Member Marty asked whether the bid should also be published in the Pioneer Press. Public Works Director Lee indicated that the current practice is not to use the Pioneer Press.
