Consideration of introduction of Ordinance No. 593 Authorizing the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View to Set Water Rates and Surcharges Effective with the January 1997 Billing. <br />Mr. Kesel, Finance Director, explained that this ordinance would increase the water rates by $.OS on all <br />classes, in accordance with a study conducted by the city auditors. All other fees would remain the same. <br />The second reading of the Ordinance and Public Hearing is scheduled for January 13, 1997 at 7:10 p.m. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to Approve the Introduction of Ordinance No. 593, Authorizing the City <br />Council of the City of Mounds View to Set Water Rates and Surcharges Effective with the January 1997 <br />Billing. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />B. Consideration of Resolution No. 5062 Adopting the 1997 Property Taa Levy and General Fund <br />Budget. <br />Mr. Kesel explained that on December 4, 1996, the City conducted the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing. At <br />that time and in prior meetings, the Council discussed an increase in the Property Tax Levy of 3% and the <br />actual budget increase of approximately 2.8% over the 1996 budget. The total General Fund budget as <br />recommended was $3,521,691. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Linke to Approve Resolution No. 5062, Adopting the 1997 Property Tax Levy <br />and General Fund Budget. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 1 nay (Hankner) Motion Carried <br />C. Consideration of Resolution No. 5048, Reapproving a Subdivision Request of Everest Development, <br />Mounds View Business Park East 2nd Addition, Building N <br />Ms. Sheldon asked that this item be tabled per the applicant's request. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to TABLE this item. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />D. Consideration of Resolution No. 5049, Approving a Minor Subdivision Request for 7532 and 7540 <br />Silver Lake Road <br />Ms. Sheldon explained that staff would like to continue tabling this item as the applicant has not yet supplied <br />the necessary easements. <br />E. Consideration of Resolution No. 5067, Adopting the 1997 Budgets for Funds other than the General <br />Fund. <br />Mr. Kesel noted this Resolution would approve the budgets for funds other than the general fund, as they were <br />originally presented. <br />
