Consideration of Resolution No. 4748 Establishing) a D.A.R.E. <br />Fund <br />Mayor Linke explained that it was felt that a separate fund <br />for donations received for the D.A.R.E. program would be <br />appropriate and would allow easier monitoring of the <br />expenditures of those donations to ensure they were spent for <br />the proper items. The expenditures would be used for <br />necessary equipment, material and supplies and the training of <br />personnel to conduct the program. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 4748 <br />Establishing a D.A.R.E. Fund <br />Councilmember Trude pointed out that any person who strongly <br />supported the D.A.R.E. program could now be assured that their <br />donations would go directly to the program. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />REPORTS <br />1. Report of Councilmembers: <br />Councilmember Quick: No report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard: No report. <br />Councilmember Hankner: No report. <br />Councilmember Trude: No report. <br />Report of Mayor Linke: <br />a. Reported that the Lions Easter Party will be held at City Hall <br />on Saturday, April 15, at 10:00 a.m. This is not an Easter <br />egg hunt, but there will be games and drawings for prizes <br />along with a bake sale. <br />Report of Administrator: <br />a. Samantha Orduno reported that the Grand Opening of the Bridges <br />Golf Course will be held on June 25, 1995. <br />Report of Staff: No report. <br />Mayor Linke announced that the next Council Meeting will be <br />April 24, 1995. The next Council Work Session will be May 1, 1995. <br />There is also a special meeting scheduled for April 11, 1995. <br />
