~ ~ ~. <br />Mounds View City Council _ Page 10 <br />Regular Meeting July 17, 1995 <br />1 Councilmember Trude asked if NSP and the City would use one <br />2 computer. <br />3 NSP would have one reading <br />4 The City would have one reading. <br />5 <br />6 Werner stated that the Council is just playing fun and games <br />7 and to let the people know when they are serious. <br />8 <br />9 Councilmember Blanchard stated that this is not a fun issue. <br />10 <br />11 Werner stated that there should be a summary sheet for the <br />12 public. Werner stated that the negative side should be <br />13 presented more frequently. <br />14 <br />15 Linke stated that these items are not Samantha's <br />16 responsibility, but Council's. The Council has to let the <br />17 residents know what they are using to make decisions. Council <br />18 needs to know what is the basis for the decision making and <br />19 why. <br />20 <br />21 Barry Tannenbaum, 8060 Red Oak Drive, wanted to thank the <br />2 Council and make a suggestion. Does not want to come to the <br /> meetings and hear the Council explain what they are <br /> responsible for and what their jobs are. Council should put <br />25 out a pamphlet on the water meter changeout proposal. Also he <br />26 asked: <br />27 <br />28 1. Is the touch reader the box with the pins on the outside <br />29 of the homes? <br />30 <br />31 2. Has a cost benefit analysis been done? <br />32 <br />33 3. Is there any ecological benefit? <br />34 <br />35 4. If government were to get an ecological benefit could it <br />36 be used to payback part of the loan? <br />37 <br />38 Ulrich explained that he spoke to staff at Mound and there <br />39 financial benefit has been met. <br />40 <br />41 Barry stated that he would like to see something better than <br />42 a report of a phone conversation. He would like to see it <br />43 proven with figures. <br />44 <br />45 Samantha Orduno stated that if Mound's revenue increased and <br />46 met the goal and St. Paul was called, which is a very <br />47 different type of City, what would that say? <br /> <br /> Barry stated that he is a statistician and that his answer to <br />50 that would be how was the sample taken and theoretically he <br />
