Mounds View City Council Page Twelve <br />Regular Meeting April 12, 1993 <br />Mayor Linke commented that this will be a community project and the <br />only involvement the Council will have is to approve the funds. This <br />visioning process is a way to get your voice heard.. The only way to <br />make your concerns known is to get involved and the Council hopes that <br />you will. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Quick to Establish the City of Mounds View's <br />1993/94 Visioning Process, Officially "Kick-Off" the Process with the <br />"Mounds View Look Into The Future Contest" and to Waive the Reading and <br />Approve Resolution No. 4361 Amending the 1993 General Budget <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 1 nay Motion Carried <br />REPORTS: <br />Report of Councilmembers: <br />a. Councilmember Ouick - Councilmember Quick asked if any plans had been <br />made for the piece of property north of the City Hall building. <br />Mary Saarion, Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, indicated <br />• that the Parks and Recreation Commission had discussed the property <br />but had no recommendation. Park and Recreation Commission wants it <br />to remain park area within the City Hall complex. <br />Councilmember Quick stated that it looked junky and something should <br />be done to improve its looks. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to direct staff to place discussion of the <br />property north of City Hall on the next Council Work Session agenda. <br />b. Councilmember Rickaby - No report. <br />d. Councilmember Wuori - No report. <br />Report of Mayor Linke: <br />Mayor Linke announced that the Lion's had held their Easter party <br />on Saturday and at least 1,000 children attended. Mayor Linke <br />thanked the Lion's. Mayor Linke stated that the Lion's had been <br />having this Easter party for the past 30 years for the children. <br />Report of Administrator - No report. <br />Report of Staff: - No reports. <br />Report of Attorney: <br />City Attorney was not present at this meeting. <br />
