• Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Page Two <br />February 8, 1993 <br />SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS: <br />a. A special poem was read and flowers presented to Councilmember <br />Blanchard by her two grandchildren in honor of her 45th Wedding <br />Anniversary. <br />b. Denise Kautzer, Director of Finance with the Metropolitan Airports <br />Commission and State Representative of the Government Finance Officers <br />Association presented Don Brager, the City's Finance Director- <br />Treasurer, a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence In Financial <br />Reporting for the City's financial report for the year ended December <br />31, 1991. <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, outlined some of the other awards <br />received by Mr. Brager and his staff during his tenure with the City of <br />Mounds View. <br />Mayor Linke commended Mr. Brager for his achievements. <br />RESIDENTS REOUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: <br />.There were no resident requests or comments at this meeting. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />A. MOTIONjSECOND: Linke/Quick to Table Indefinitely a Request <br />for Variance <br />Paul Harrington, City Planner, reviewed Staff Report No. 93-475C <br />regarding a request for variance from Simon T. Simon, Planning <br />Case No. 358-92. Harrington stated that at the request of the <br />applicant, the item was tabled to this evening's meeting pending <br />receipt of information pertinent to the request. Harrington stated <br />that during recent phone conversations, the applicant informed <br />him that he would not have the information available for <br />tonight's meeting and has requested that the item be tabled to a <br />later date. Harrington stated that due to the fact that the <br />applicant is unsure of exactly when the information would be available, <br />staff is recommending that the request be tabled indefinitely rather <br />than to a specific later date. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, read the Consent Agenda. <br />~Iayor Linke asked if there were any items the Council desired removed from <br />the Consent Agenda. The Council removed no items. <br />
