RESOLUTION 7744 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING BARR ENGINEERING COMPANY TO PREPARE PART 1 OF THE <br /> WELLHEAD PROTECTION PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is mandated to implement wellhead <br /> protection measures through a Wellhead Protection Plan in accordance with Minnesota <br /> Rules, Chapter 4720; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Wellhead Protection Plan is implemented in two Parts and the <br /> City requires the assistance of professional consulting services to complete; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City received a proposal from Barr Engineering Company of <br /> Minneapolis, Minnesota for $12,360 to prepare Part 1 of the Wellhead Protection Plan; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, monies have been budgeted in 2011 under the Water Enterprise <br /> Fund for Wellhead Protection Planning; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Wellhead Protection Manager is required to be identified to <br /> oversee wellhead protection activities on behalf of the City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The letter proposal submitted by Barr Engineering Company to provide professional <br /> engineering services for Part 1 of the Wellhead Protection Plan is hereby accepted <br /> by the City. Compensation will be on an hourly basis plus reimbursable expenses <br /> for $12,360 with a maximum fee not to exceed $14,800. <br /> 2. Upon satisfactory review of the City Attorney, the Mayor and City Administrator are <br /> hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City, to enter into <br /> agreement with Barr Engineering Company for said services at said price. <br /> 3.
