WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City of Mounds View to use Municipal State <br /> Aid funding for Jackson Drive and the County Road H2 concrete sidewalk construction <br /> costs; and <br /> WHEREAS, approval of the plans and specifications must be received from the <br /> Minnesota Department of Transportation prior to the awarding of a construction contract <br /> for the project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The plans and specifications for the 2011 Street and Utility Improvement Project <br /> Area D were prepared pursuant to Resolution 7643 and are hereby approved as the <br /> plans and specifications in accordance with which said improvements shall be <br /> constructed. <br /> 2. The time and date for receipt of bids for said improvements is hereby established as <br /> 2:00 P.M. on March 31, 2011 in the Council Chambers at the Mounds View City Hall. <br /> 3. Staff is hereby directed to cause to be published in the Sun -Focus newspaper and in <br /> a regional trade publication, at least three weeks before the last day to submit bids, <br /> a notice to bidders for the implementation of said project as required by law. <br /> 4. Staff is hereby directed to proceed with all activities necessary for the procurement <br /> of Municipal State Aid Funds for the improvements to be constructed along the <br /> designated State Aid routes within the Project. <br /> 5. The letter proposal dated February 22, 2011 submitted by Bonestroo to provide <br /> engineering services for the bid phase and the amendment to the design phase for <br /> Area D of the Program is accepted by the City. Compensation as outlined in the <br /> letter proposal will be on an hourly basis with reimbursable expenses with a <br /> maximum fee amount of $7,000 for the bid phase and a maximum fee amount of <br /> $9,000 for the design phase amendment. <br /> 6. Upon satisfactory review by the City Attorney, the Mayor and City Administrator are <br /> hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City, to execute the letter <br /> proposal dated February 22, 2011 with Bonestroo. <br /> Adopted this 28 day of February, 2011. <br /> A6e <br /> e Flaherty, <br /> ATTEST: <br /> J aATt&0 ba&*� <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
