RESOLUTION 7765 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A METROTECH UTILITY LINE LOCATOR <br /> FROM FERGUSON WATERWORKS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is mandated to locate and mark City <br /> infrastructure through the Gopher State One Call service; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Department spends much of the construction <br /> season locating and marking underground infrastructure in response Gopher State One <br /> Call locate requests, which requires the use of a utility line locator unit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the current utility line locator owned by the City was purchased as a <br /> used demo in 1990 and now works intermittently and is no longer reliable; and <br /> WHEREAS, three quotes were solicited from suppliers for a Metrotech 980OXT <br /> utility line locator and ranged from $3,730 to $4,100 (amounts do not include tax) with the <br /> low quote submitted by Ferguson Waterworks of Blaine, Minnesota. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The purchase of a Metrotech 980OXT utility line locator for $3,730 plus tax is <br /> hereby approved. <br /> 2. Payment for the utility line locator will be funded by the Capital Equipment <br /> account of the Water Infrastructure and Maintenance Fund (700- 4823 7030). <br /> Adopted this 28 day of March, 2011. <br /> v� <br /> e Fla <br /> ATTEST: <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
