Siemon, 8021 <br />Eastwood Rd.;Stewart R. Reimer, 2728 Woodcrest Dr.; Kenneth Kinstler, 2250 Hillview Dr.; <br />Mrs. Douglas Ingram, 2292 Lois Drive; Mrs. Louis Wille, 7911 Spring Lake Park Rd.. <br />Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Rustad to appoint the following to the Planning <br />Committee; Martha Irvine, 2069 Sherwood Rd.; John L. Sullivan, 8368 Spring Lake Rd.; <br />Ingram C. Rustad, 2096 Oakwood Dro; George Gustafson, 8391 Spring Lake Rd.; Donald Hodges, <br />5086 Eastwood Rd.; Alvin Hillsdale, 7850 Spring Lake Rd.; Mrs. Inge Haug, 5467 Quincy St.; <br />Allan Crane, 5290 Pinewood Court; Glenn Westerheim, 2286 Bronson Dr.; Milt Stole, 2132 <br />Terrace Dr.; Mrs. Phyllis Blanchard, 8005 Groveland Rd.; Mrs. Phyllis Robertus, 2055 <br />Co. Rd. H. 5 ayes. <br />Trustee Achterkirch gave the report of the Health <br />24 hours service to be continued, with a 4 man force. <br />$165.00 per month. The schedule to be as follows: <br />7 A.M. to 3 P.M. no patrolling <br />3 P.M. to 9 P.M. patrolling <br />9 P.M. to 3 A.M. patrolling <br />on call to 7 A.M. <br />Motion by Achterkirch to accept recommendations. Motion lost as there was no second. <br />and Public Safety Committee: <br />Acting Temporary Chief to receive <br />$100.00 a month <br />$150.00 a month <br />$165.00 a month <br />Warren Burnett- certainly should have someone patrolling during the day around the <br />schools. <br />Walter Butler -what is the comparison of salary on the 7:00 A.M. to 3 P.M. shift and <br />the 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. shift? <br />Mr. Brown -what does the extra officer do? <br />Eugene Peterson - during the summer months with all the children playing in the streets <br />a car patrolling is certainly needed. <br />Mrs. Haug- Children playing in the streets. Many times have to stop the car and waid <br />for them to move. <br />Alberta Madsen -not the duty of police officers to keep the children out of the streets. <br />Emery Gale -Is it worth $35.00 a month to have a child killed? <br />Motion by Irvine, seconded by Sullivan to accept report as made with the exception <br />that the daytime shift be referred back to the Health and Public Safety Committee for <br />further consideration and a recommendation at the next meeting. 5 ayes. <br />Recommendation of Trustee Achterkirch that John P. Och be appointed Temporary Chief <br />of Police with the understanding that if he moved into the Village within 6 months a <br />permanent appointment could be made. 3 ayes, Gibson - abstained, Rustad -no. <br />Mr. Och requested 48 hours to accept due to the apparent objections to the <br />appointment. Request granted. <br />Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to allow Sam Dalberg, appearing in behalf of <br />Charles Hall, to divide Lot 69, Spring Lake Park Hillview Addition into two lots. 5ayes. <br />Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Rustad to approve installation of a street light <br />at Highway 8 and Hillview Rd. 5 ayes. <br />
