26 <br />October 7, 1958 <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View was <br />called to order by Mayor Gibson at 8:00 P.M. on October 7, 1958, at the Village <br />Hall, 1450 West Highway 96. <br />The following members were present: <br />Mayor: James W. Gibson <br />Clerk: Martha Irvine <br />Trustees: John L. Sullivan <br />Reuben G. Achterkirch <br />Ingram C. Rustad <br />and the following were also present: <br />Deputy Clerk: Mary Jean Milbrandt <br />Legal Counsel: Richard Meyers <br />Engineer: Otto Bonestroo <br />Treasurer: Irene Edberg <br />All bills presented by the Clerk were approved to be paid. <br />The minutes of the September 16th meeting were read. Minutes corrected to show <br />approval of dance license for John T. Anderson at the Meadowbrook Inn and contracting <br />licenses 87 through 94. The playground at Hillview and Greenfield, instead of Hillview <br />and Greenwood, was approved for use by the Mounds View Recreation Department. Motion <br />by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to approve minutes as amended. <br />Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Achterkirch to accept Financial Statements for <br />July and August. 5 ayes. <br />Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Sullivan to tentatively waive minimum frontage <br />requirement and approve lots approximately 94' x 129' for Northwest corner of County <br />Road "I" and Groveland Rd. if plat is submitted by Haugen within 60 days and approved. <br />The Village must also obtain an additional 8' for road easement for Groveland Rd. and <br />a 60' road easement for the extension of Knollwood Drive. 5 ayes. <br />The owner of the property located on the SW corner of Hillview and Edgewood <br />requested permission fdr;lots less than the minimum frontage. Motion by Achterkirch, <br />seconded by Rustad to waive minimum frontage requirement and give tentative approval of <br />3 lots approximately 97.84' x 131.6' subject to plat presented and approved within, <br />60 days. 5 ayes. <br />Herman Bentrup, 8158 Red Oak Drive presented drawing showing 2 homes on 1 lot. <br />Problem referred to the Building Inspector and Clerk. Clerk to present problem <br />to the Planning Committee for discussion and recommendation. <br />Building permit for Red Oak School was discussed. Building Inspector will <br />waive permit fee. <br />Clerk instructed to write letter to Major Watts regarding connection to <br />Arsenal sewer. <br />Letter from Engineer regarding storm sewer study tabled until next meeting. <br />Trustee Sullivan recommended that in the future the Engineer be consulted before <br />any project such as the drainage problem around Lois Drive is started. <br />
