59 <br />The following citizens of Mounds View were appointed to the Parks and <br />Recreation Committee: <br />John Sullivan, Chairman <br />Alice Frits <br />Alberta Madsen <br />Ralph Peterson. <br />Milt Stole <br />Glen Wikre <br />Marilyn Dawson <br />Earl Barry <br />Ken Olson <br />Henry Dyslin <br />Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Gibson to approve contracting licenses 106, <br />Domestic Heating Co., Inc.; 107, A and A Cesspool Service; 108, Burnomatic Industrial; <br />and 109, William.Tulp. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Deputy Clerk was instructed to write letters to the four engineers who . <br />submitted proposals thanking them for their consideration. <br />Clerk Smith informed the Council of a practice in Columbia Heights to have <br />Mayor for a Day, a.Scout selected by the leaders of the Scout Units, to act as mayor in <br />the Village for one day. He suggested that perhaps it would also be possible to <br />select a girl from the Senior Girl Scout Units to govern as Clerk for a day. Motion <br />by Smith, seconded by Sullivan to enter into such a program. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Suggestion-was made by Sullivan that Clerk Smith prepare a resolution establishing <br />the selection of a Mayor and Clerk for a Day. <br />Motion by Smith, seconded by Christensen to adjourn at 12:48 A.M. <br />Res <br />ectfully su <br />itted, <br />Earl E.
