61 <br />Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Christensen to approve the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation to allow Mr. Parson, 7855 Greenwood Drive to divide his lot into two lots <br />82.5'. Motion carried unanimously. <br />After a discussion with Mr. Comstock, and. Mr. Meyers concerning a contract with the <br />' Village Engineer for the sanitary sewer survey it was decided to hold a special meeting Mon- <br />day, April 13th at the Mayor's residence. The Deputy Clerk to inform Council members of <br />the meeting. <br />The Mayor, Trustee Sullivan and Engineer Comstock to meet at 1:30 P.M., Saturday <br />afternoon, April llth to discuss the grading of playgrounds in the area. <br />Trustee Sullivan reported that the Recreation Commission had obtained information <br />that playgrounds in the area which require grading could be graded to the correct levels <br />for less than $1,000.00. He also reported that some members of the Recreation Commission <br />had made visual inspections of property south of Highway 10 to determine if desirable <br />property is available to develop into park areas. He also stated that a member of the <br />Recreation Commission had contributed some used lumber which could be used to build <br />bleachers, player benches, etc. on the village playgrounds. <br />Trustee Sullivan presented the following budget to the Council for the summer <br />program at Lakeside Park: <br />Sr. Water Instructor $600.00 <br />Jr. Water Instructor 450.00 <br />Lifeguard 300.00 <br />Lifeguard 650.00 <br />2,000.00 Total Personnel <br />Maintenance of beach 300.00 <br />Lights 250.00 <br />Maintenance of ball field 150.00 <br />Materials 100.00 <br />Well platform 25.00 <br />Picnic tables 100.00 <br />Boat 25.00 <br />Swings 40.00 <br />Grading 200.00 <br />Water treating 60.00 <br />3,250.00 Total Budget <br />Expected Income <br />Suburban Recreation $600.00 they will pay for the Sr. Water <br />Registration of instruction 500.00 Instructor <br />Ball Team 150.00 <br />Village of Mounds View 1000.00 <br />Village of Spring Lake Park 1000.00 <br />3,250.00 <br />Motion by Christensen, seconded by Gibson to give tentative approval to the Lakeside <br />Park budget as presented by Trustee Sullivan subject to the outcome of the meeting <br />between the two villages. Motion carried unanimously. <br />A suggestion was received from the floor that the Lakeside Park Commission investigate <br />and have the faulty pump at Spring Lake repaired which is necessary to raise the level of <br />the water for a summer beach program. Mayor Gibson stated he would get in touch with <br />County Commissioners to see if they would get the pump at Spring Lake started. <br />
