65 <br />Mr. Hellerstedt appeared before the council in regards to rezoning of a piece of <br />property in the triangle between Highway 8 and Highway 10. Part of this property in <br />Section 17 and part in Section 8. Property in question is owned by 1r. Raymond Skiba <br />and. Mrs. Claudia Skiba and is zoned farm residential at present time. Mr. Hellerstedt <br />wishes to rezone this area as industrial. Petition for rezoning referred to the <br />Planning Commission. <br />Report by Christensen on village roads which require patching. Christensen moved <br />that the following roads be patched part of which will be completed with state funds. <br />Quincy Street from Hillview lioad to County Road H2 <br />Hillview Road from S.T.H. #8 to Red Oak Drive <br />Bronson Drive from Quincy Street to Adams Street <br />Pinewood Drive from Quincy Street to Jackson Drive <br />Groveland. Road from County Road J to Bronson Drive <br />Knollwood Drive from Bronson Drive to County Road H <br />Irondale Road from County Road H to Woodale Drive <br />Seconded,by Smith and carried unanimously. <br />Mr. and Mrs. White again appeared before the council in regards to building a <br />trailer court behind the Skyline motel. Mr. Crane, chairman of the Planning Commission, <br />presented a planning commission report recommending denial of this request. Motion <br />by Sullivan seconded by Christensen that the council concur with the recommendation of <br />the Planning Commission and deny use of the property in question for a trailer park or <br />for parking of trailers. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Gibson seconded by Smith for accentance of an agreement in form and <br />content only for services with the engineering firm of Comstock and. Davis for Stage 1 <br />of the agreement upon acceptance and approval of the loan of our application by the <br />House & Home Finance Agency stating such motion. This agreement will be forwarded to <br />the House & Home Finance Agency in Chicago stating that we will enter into this <br />agreement. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Gibson and seconded by Smith to rescind an action of the village <br />council on March 16, 1959 governing the relocation of dwelling units in the village <br />of Mounds View due to a previous motion passed by the township board. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Motion by Achterkirch seconded by Christensen to adopt Ordinance 62, regulating <br />the re-location of dwelling units in the village of Mounds View. <br />Recommendation received from the chairman of the Police Commission that the council <br />raise the salary of Officer Grabowski, cut the salary of the Police Chief, and leave <br />all other police salaries at their present amount. This recommendation was contested <br />by Trustee Sullivan and Clerk Smith as detrimental to the service rendered by the Police <br />force. Motion then made by Smith that we raise Grabowski's salary from $50.00 to $100.00 <br />per month, other officers remain at the present salaryhrate and the chief's salary be <br />raised $10.00 which is presently the same as Sergeant obertus. Motion lost for lack <br />of a second. <br />It was pointed out that pursuant to the meeting of July 15, 1959 Chief John Ock . <br />was given six months to move into the village at which time he would be appointed <br />permanent chief. He did not move into the village by the appointed time and has not <br />moved in up to the present time. Motion by Achterkirch seconded by Gibson that the <br />council give Chief Och until June 1st to move into the village or his ervices to be <br />terminated. Achterkirch, Christensen, Sullivan, Gibson, aye; Smith, no. Motion carried. <br />
