Motion and amended motion seconded by Malvin, 5 ayes, <br />motion carried. <br />Mr. Piehowski also presented a request for an addition onto <br />the house of Mr. "Jayne Larson; said addition requiring a varriance <br />of a &et back line. Case referred to the planning Committee and <br />Attorney for dispositmon and report at the next council meeting. <br />The subject reggauding erection of prefab chimneys on new houses <br />in the Village was again presented to the council by the Heating <br />Inspector. Information from the Federal Government regarding spe- <br />cifications and recommendations for such chimneys has not been <br />received as previously requested and no action taken for approval <br />of said chimneys. <br />Mayor Crane directed the attorney to draw up a Park and Play- <br />grounds Resolution for presentation at next council meeting. <br />Upon recommendation of the inspectors, the council directed <br />tae Clerk to purchase several copies of the St. Paul Buildint <br />Code. <br />The problem of provide a road on the prgperty in which Mr. <br />George Gustafson is interested was turned over to Trustee Christen- <br />sen for study and investigation. <br />The question concerning the building of four houses on Bronson <br />Drive by Mr. Grobert was again brought to t3e attention of the <br />council. In view of the fact that the Division of Lot 13 was <br />attempted by Mr. Groberg, as stated in a letter from the County <br />Register of Deeds, showing record of said subdividing of lot 13 <br />on January 4, 1960, Mayor Crane moved seconded by Smith that said <br />property be subdivided in accordance with the Sub Division Regula- <br />tions. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Mr. Comstock, Village Engineer, reported that a meeting was <br />'1d with the officials of the Mineapolis Sewer De_'artment, Major <br />Watts of the Arsenal, members of the council and himself which did <br />not result in anything specific concerning the sewer problem in <br />the Village. It was also brought out that a letter had been re- <br />ceived by Mayor Crane from the Federal Housing and Home Agency and <br />that the loan application for planning purposes fvr the sewer and <br />rater study in the village was not approved at this time. <br />Mr. Ahlers, Fiscal Agent, reported on the contemplated water <br />hearing discussing the type and amount of assessments, type of water <br />system, the costs and other problems relating to the installation <br />of water in the Village. <br />Motion by Christensen seconded by Hodges that the water hearing <br />be held February 17, 1960, 8:00 p.m. at Edgewood Junior Sigh School. <br />5 ayes, motion carried. <br />A resolution relating to the construction of a sanitary sewer <br />system and t e appointment of persons from Mounds View to assitt in <br />the study of this system together with other surrounding municipal- <br />ities, was read and moved by Smith, seconded by Christensen for <br />adoption. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />
