Page 2 <br />Attorney directed to pre-)are a Resolution to the State Highway <br />Commission containing a provision thatat time of construction of <br />T.H. #10, Mounds View Village to be notified so that the construction <br />of village water mains can be correlated with the construction of <br />Highway #10 in order to keep the expense of mains crossing the <br />highway at a minimum. <br />Smith reported on a meeting with the Mounds View School <br />Board regarding the use of one of the Schools located within the <br />village for Council meetings. Smith stated that he was informed by <br />the School Board that the council's request for regular use of <br />Edgewood School was not desirable and that either Red Oak School <br />or Pinewood School should be considered for that use. The School <br />Board members also agreed that a fee of $15.00 (fifteen dollars) <br />should be paid for each meeting to cover the expense of janitor <br />service and utilities service. <br />Motion by Malvin seconded by Hodges to hold regular council <br />meetings on the second Tonday night of the month at the Red Oak <br />School. 5 ayes, motion carried. Schedule arranged with the <br />Principal of the Red Oak School and meetings will com ende with <br />the first regular meeting on March 14, 1960. <br />Motion by Smith, seconded by Malvin that a check to the <br />Mounds View Little League which was held up for payment by the <br />Treasurer, pending investigation of whether a motion for said <br />payment has been made previously, be approved and signed by the <br />Council. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Meeting scheduled to be held with the council and a represent.. <br />ative from the Northern States Power Co r any at 8:30 on Wednesday, .. <br />March 2, and with the Liquor Committee at 9:30 said date. <br />Attorney directed to prepare a legal notice to the newspaper <br />for an official hearing on the Coning Ordinance on Thursday, <br />March 22, 1960, 8:30 P.T. at the Edgewood Junior High School. <br />Attorney directed to investigate the procedures concerning <br />the Hospital election to be held in April, 1960. <br />Motion by Crane, seconded by Christensen that the Clerk hire <br />another Deputy to work evenings on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday <br />from 6 :30 to 9:00 P.M., and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12 :00 <br />noon, to be paid at the rate of $2.00 an hour, Mrs. Yarriet Kish <br />to be hired for this position; and that the Clerk purchase a <br />typewriter, Me ::ograph machine and a copping machine and place a <br />for sale ad in the papers for the Duplicating machine now in use <br />by the office. <br />Notion adjourned at 10 :48.M. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Earl E.
