Motion carried. <br />Motion by Hodges, seconded by Malvin that an expenditure be <br />allowed for payment cf University Short Courses for the council, <br />police department members and Treasurer. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Several citizens brought a complaint to the council that use <br />of the Red Oak School on Monday nights by the Council for meetings <br />would bring a hardship on the Scouting program which has been using <br />the school on these nights. It was suggested that the council try <br />to obtain another night and /or another school for this purpose. <br />Motion by Christensen, seconded by Smith that the Mayor write a <br />letter to the School Board requesting the use of Edgewood Junior <br />High School requesting a Monday evening for Mounds View Village c <br />council meetings with such meetings to be held without charge to the <br />village. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Motion by Christensen; seconded by Smith that the sub - division <br />of a lot on Eastwood Drive, submitted to the council by Mr. George <br />Gustafson, be approved subject to a 30 foot dedication on roar of <br />said lot. 5 ayes; motion carried. <br />Motion by Cranc seconded by Christenson that the council <br />meet #ith the Suburban Sanitation Corporation for a study of the <br />sanitation conditions by that corporation. Mooting to be held at <br />7 :30, March 21, 1960. Crane, Christensen, Malvin and Hodges, aye; <br />Smith, no. Motion carried. <br />The attorney was directed to investigate and prepare necessary <br />papers requiring all Contractors and subcontractors to submit a <br />performance bond to the village at time of application for their <br />license and that the attorney also prepare some type of Certificate <br />of Occupancy for use by the Contractors showing the house has <br />received a final inspection and meets all code requirements of the <br />village before house can be occupied by purchaser. <br />The subject of the Bicycle Ordinance was brought to the <br />attention of the council by several citizens. Motion by Crane to <br />table said ordinance. Members of the council felt that the Ordinance <br />should not be tabled as it had been read at a previous council <br />meeting and studied by the council. Mayor Crane then withdrew his <br />motion. <br />Motion by Christensen, seconded by Smith to adopt the Bicycle <br />Ordinance as prepared by the attorney. Christensen and Smith, aye; <br />Crane, Hodges, and Malvin, no. Motion lost. <br />Motion by Crane seconded by Malvin that the Police officers <br />study the bicycle situation in the village for the remainder of the <br />year and report their findings and recommendations at the first <br />mooting in December 1960. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Motion by Crane, seconded by Christensen that Mr. Glen Dawson, <br />Mr. Jerry Blanchard and I°ir. Robert Eikstadt be appointed as a three <br />
