y U 3 6 <br />Proceedings of the Village Council 5/9/60 <br />Patching of the following streets Irondale Road from County Road H <br />to Woodale; Pinewood Drive from Jackson to Highway 8, Oakwood Drive <br />from Jackson to Highway 8, Jackson Drive from Pinewood to Hillview, <br />Hillview Road as required, '?uincy and walk through easement as <br />required, Groveland and Knollwood as required, and other roads as <br />required to maintain minimum safe road conditions. Oiling of the <br />following streets: LaPorte Drive from Eastwood to Jackson, Edgewood <br />Drive from Laporte Drive to Arden Avenue, Woodlawn from County Road I <br />to Hillview, and other oiling to be ordered later depending on progress <br />of water, etc. and as conditions warrant. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Mrs. Peterson brought to the attention of the council that an <br />organization desiring to sell popcorn at the ball games in the village <br />and requested that the council approve such action. The council <br />agreed that said sales by a worthy organization would be allowed and <br />in the case of others participating in such sales the council felt <br />that an ordinance should be prepared and directed the attorney to <br />investigate or prepare a transient peddlers ordinance of some type. <br />Clerk Smith stated that a liquor application had been received <br />from Mr. Robert :Taste and said application was referred to the attorney <br />for investigation. Motion by Crane, seconded by Malvin that the <br />village insert in an advertisement in the local newspapers that liquor <br />licenses applications would be received by the village at this time. <br />Crane, Malvin, and Hodges, aye; Christensen and Smith, no; motion <br />carried. <br />Motion by Smith, seconded by Christensen that in lieu of the above <br />motion on advertising for liquor license applications that June 1st <br />be established as the deadline to receive applications for processing <br />and all ap: :lications to be processed at that time. 5 ayes, motion <br />carried. <br />Motion by Malvin, seconded by Hodges to adjourn at 10:15 P.M. <br />5 ayes, motion carried. <br />pectft1 <br />!submitted, <br />Earl E. mith <br />Village Clerk <br />
