ill '`s 92 <br />Motion was then made by Christensen, seconded by Crane that <br />the village attorney be instructed to investigate the statutes <br />concerning natural drainage and mail his findings to each council <br />member so this problem can be studied at the next regular informal <br />meeting. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />In order to abide by the arrangement of adjourning the meetings <br />at 11:00 O'clock Motion was made by Malvin seconded by Hodges <br />to adjourn. Upon call of roll Malvin aye, Hodges aye, and Smith <br />Christensen and Crane, no. motion denied. <br />A petition was then presented to the council for the extension <br />of water in the area where a hearing has allready been held. <br />Petition referred to the Village Engineer to determine whether <br />it can be included in tkix contract.for project 1960 -3. <br />The subject of considering the dismissal of the former Chief <br />of Police John Robertus as requested in the letter from his attorney <br />was brought to the attention of the council by Mr. Crane after <br />reconsidering this matter a few days previously a motion was made <br />by Crane seconded by Hodges that the Attorney for the village be <br />instructed to contuat the attorney for Mr. Robertus stating that <br />the council has decided not to reconsider Aoloix the dismissal of <br />Mr. John Robertus. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Trustee Christensen stated that the roads have been inspected <br />and moved that the village forward a work order to the <br />County Engineer to grade Edgewood from County Road I to Highway <br />10 on the road right of way; grade Irondale road from Joodale to <br />County Road H -2 (to dust coat and oil both roads and the grading <br />be done in such a manner as to Eonform to grade set by the village <br />Engineer. This would include maintaining the village roads in <br />a safe drdving condition excluding the roads which were under <br />construction for the waterworks program. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Mr. Charles Young appeared before the council concerning his <br />water assessment which he felt was incorrect and also stated that <br />according to the section map this neighbor's property was also <br />figured incorrectly. Mr. Young was advised to hold up paryment <br />on his assessment until after the county resolves the question <br />of right of way on this street. ]I esolution will be prepared <br />by the attorney to abate these assessments after compution by <br />the Engineer. <br />Motion by Smith, seconded by Christensen to approve the fol- <br />lowing three bills. <br />Chicago Bridge and Ir n Co. 323,856.50 <br />Estimate #2, for Sandstrom <br />and Hafner 369,805.80 <br />Thein Well Co. 35,508.00 <br />5 ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />Motion by Crane,, seconded by Hodges to pay all other bills <br />(see list attached. 5 ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />
