Proceedings of the Village Council <br />employees that the advertisement was for two part time employees <br />or full time employees instead of fou ±1 Trustee Christensen also <br />pointed out that the statement rega rding the amount of water not <br />metered by the Neptune meter and the amott l quoted in these minutes <br />as a cost to the users of the municipal water was figures which <br />were computed from the minimum charge for water used by the sttrround•- <br />ing villages and not a figure which will be used necessarily for <br />this village computing the water rates. Attorney Meyers also wished <br />to clarify the statement on Page 6 regarding the deed for the land <br />at Hillview and Long Lake Road clarifying this that the Auditor's <br />office had stated that a tax abatement had been filed in 1956 for <br />said land and that the deed would most likely be filed after that <br />time but had never been filed in the Auditor's office. Mr. Meyers <br />stated that he was looking for the deed but he wanted to make it <br />clear that he had not lost the deed since it had never been in his <br />possession due to the fact that at the time in question the year of <br />1956, Mr. Meyers was not the Village Attorney for the Mounds View <br />township. Motion by Hodges, seconded by Crane that the minutes of <br />the October 24 meeting be aceepted as corrected. 5 ayes; motion <br />carried. <br />The minutes of the November 9 meeting was read by Clerk Smith. <br />Motion by Christensen, seconded by Hodges to accept the minutes as <br />read. 5 ayes; motion carried. <br />Mrs. Ralph Peterson posed the question to the council regarding <br />the finishing of the streets which had been torn up by the <br />contractors for laying of the water lines. Mr. Knutson gave a <br />report on the progress on this item. Smith also asked what could <br />be done about Jackson Street in the Pinwwood Terrace Addition which <br />was in very poor condition which had been patched in spots and also <br />other possible streets in the area which may be in no better condition. <br />Christensen stated that they had a list of complaints that he and <br />Mr. Frank Slipka of the County Engineer's office, had checked all <br />the roads twice and had contacted both contractors and covered the <br />village with each pointing out which streets and what had to be done <br />on those streets concerned. <br />Mr. Malvin asked again why the crosswalks at the schools had <br />not been marked as stated in a previous minutes as requested from <br />the school district. Trustee Christensen stated that the order had <br />been sent into the County Engineer's office but he would call and <br />follow up the schedule of work to be done. <br />Mr. Melberg appeared before the council requesting the council <br />consider the proposal for location of two service stations along <br />Highway 10 in the village. It was pointed out that the location <br />of one station would involve a rezoning problem and possible special <br />use permit. Said stations to be located on Highway 10 and Long <br />Lake Road and one at Groveland. Matter referred to the Clerk's <br />office for application for rezoning. <br />
