Mr. Crandell, representing the Metropolitan Mosquito Control Commission, <br />appeared before the council and presented a map of the mosquito breeding sites in <br />Mounds View village. Mr. Crandell stated that this map is presented with the hope <br />that the contractors doing work in Mounds View will be shown the map and asked to fill <br />in a few of these sites where possible. <br />Mr. Harvey Melby appeared before the council and reported that he had gone to <br />the Justice of Peace Court after his appearance at the last council meeting but <br />was informed by the Justice of Peace thataccording iks to the village ordinances <br />the Building Inspector held jurisdiction over his complaint registered against Mr. <br />Conrad Anderson at 8357 Eastwood. Mr. Anderson who was present, informed the council <br />that he had no idea he had broken any law by selling Christmas trees at his resgidence <br />and parking trucks in his yard; that he would rectify the situation and would <br />appreciate knowing hos long he had to do this. He also inquired if he could purchase <br />the lot next to his for parking his trucks but he was inrmed by the village attorney <br />that the ordinance in question would not permit this. Motion by Crane, seconded <br />by Malvin that the owner eliminate any bu %iness enterprises not allowed by village <br />ordinances by January 1, 1961 and that if such was not taken care of by that time the <br />Building Inspector be instructed to sign a complaint against Mr. Anderson. 5 ayes, <br />motion carried. <br />The Building Inspector was also instructed to inspect Mr. Andersonts lot and <br />stable to determine if they comply with the ordinance cofering this. <br />Mr. Leonard Lindstoone of BronsonErickson Company, appeared before the council <br />regarding the subdivision of a lot at County Road H2 and Spring Lake Park Road. <br />The present owner of this lot, Mr. Edmund Voltin, had been requested by the <br />Planning Commission to prepare and present to that commission a preliminary plat <br />showing location of the present house, etc. Mr. Lindstone stated that, however, Mr. <br />Voltin has not done this and the prospective purchaser, Mr. Sweeley, would like to <br />culminate and conclude this transaction. Motion by Crane, seconded by Malvin to ten - <br />tativelyapprove the subdivision of said lot 140 feet by 107 feet pending recommenda- <br />tion from the planning Commission after the survey and plot plan is submitted. <br />5 ayes, motion carried. <br />The Park and Playground Committee report was given by Trustee Hodges. He <br />stated that the Committee will try to flood the rinks at Hillview, Oakwood and <br />Lift @rt by Ohrifitmatt v404tioi, A discussion followed regarding the purchase of <br />a trailer to hall the tractor. Motion by Hodges, seconded by Crane to inspect the <br />trailer suggested by Mr. Stole and if it doesntt meet the specifications required, <br />the village will purchase the trailer allready suggested (6 x 12 feet, 3 inch <br />channel construction, dual wheels) for the price of $160.00. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Mr. grits inquired into the disposition of the two acres of land at the Hill - <br />viewand Long Lake Road playground which had been deeded to the village by Bronson— <br />Erickson. Attorney Meyers stated that he had found the certificate of title this <br />day and that he would now file the deed for the village. <br />Mr. Walter Skiba inquired as to what the council desired to do about sealf Lor <br />the water meters. Mr. Skiba was instructed to purchase a tool having some type of <br />die which would stamp the words "Mounds View" on the water meter seals. Mr. Skiba <br />also reported that the well is drilled ho the depth of about 830 feet and now ready <br />to be cased. <br />Page (3) <br />
