January 9, 1961 by Mayor Allan B. <br />Crane at the led Oak School. <br />iiernbers Present: <br />Iiayor: <br />Trustees: <br />Allan 3. Crane <br />Donald C. Hodges <br />Perry I:alvin <br />Clerk: Lloyd J. 1lanchard <br />Attorney: Richard Iieyers <br />iiembers Absent: <br />Trustee Christensen entered the meeting at :45 P. <br />The first order of business was reading of the minutes. <br />Clerk Blanchard read the minutes of the December 12, 1960 meeting. <br />i-iotion was made by Hodges seconded by Iialvin to accept theminutes <br />as read. 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />The minutes of the meeting of December 19, 1960 were read by <br />Clerk Blanchard. Lotion by Iialvin, seconded by Hodges to approve <br />the minutes as read. 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />Clerk Blanchard read the minutes of the January 3, 1961 <br />meeting. The year in the first paragraph was changed from 1960 to <br />1961. Attorney Iieyers suggested that the salaries of the Iiayor and <br />the Trustees should be spelled out in the minutes. Trustee Hodges <br />moved, Iialvin seconded to accept the minutes as corrected. 4 Ayes <br />for approval, motion carried. <br />The next item r-' hnnsiness was appointments and naming of <br />committees for the year 1961. Iiotion blT Iiayor Crane, seconded by <br />Hodges to accept the Finance Com;dttee members (see list attached). <br />4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />Iiotion by Iiayor Crane, seconded by Iialvin to accept the License <br />Committee menbers (see list attac'ed). 4 Ayes for approval, motion <br />carried. <br />Iiayor Crane moved, seconded by Iialvin to accept the Police <br />Commis.on members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for Approval, motion <br />carried. <br />notion by Iiayor Crane, seconded by Blanchard to accept the Fire <br />Sub - Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, <br />motion carried. <br />Iiayor Crane moved, seconded by IIodges to accept the Building <br />and Zoning Sub- Committee Members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for <br />approval, motion carried. <br />Iiayor Crane moved, seconded by Lalvin to accept the Civil <br />Defense Sub - Committee _ieubers (see list attached). 4 Ayes for <br />approval, motion carried. <br />lotion was made by Iiayor Crane and seconded b- Blanchard to <br />accept the Public 'forks Cornitteei_leribers (see list attached). <br />Trustee Hodges was of the opinion that Er. Skiba should also be a <br />member of this Com li t tee; however, it was decided that a Village <br />employee would nen have a vote on Village affairs and this should <br />not be. if Ayes for approval, notion carried. <br />Iiayor Crane moved and Iialvin seconded a motion to accept the <br />Parks and Playgrounds Conriittee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes <br />for approval, motion carried. <br />
