w - 00001 <br />Minutes of January 9th, 1961 Meeting <br />Mayor Crane presented to the Council a Resolution from the <br />League of Minnesota Municipalities entitled "Resolution of Water <br />Resource Study Committee -Sub- Committee Concerning Proposed <br />Expansion of the Minneapolis- StPaul Sanitary District ". Motion by <br />Mayor Crane, seconded by Hodges to adopt this Resolution. Mr. <br />Knutson said it is his understanding that the Resolution was not <br />adopted by other Municipalities as set forth in the League Letter. <br />Most of them added their own provisos; Trustee Christensen feels <br />that the Village of Mounds View should spell out just what we feel <br />is fair and equitable financing of this system and also to enumerate <br />whatever else we want. Attorney Meyers said that the Village should <br />add a proviso that if they do not come up with something within a <br />reasonable time, Mounds View, will go ahead and find a solution of its <br />own. Mr. Meyers will prepare an addition to this resolution and <br />bring it to the next meeting. Mayor Crane withdrew his motion and <br />Trustee Hodges withdrew his second. <br />Clerk Blanchard will call Ehlers and Mann to have them re- submit <br />'heir bill for §ervices rendered. <br />Clerk Blanchard read a letter from the Ramsey County Engineer <br />stating that they are holding a meeting to discuss drainage in Ramsey <br />County at the request of the Ramsey County Municpal Officials Organi- <br />zation. Les Knutson, Mel Christensen and Donald Hodges will try to <br />attend this meeting. <br />The Council requested that Attorney Meyers make an analysis of <br />the Village's insurance program and report at the January 23rd meeting, <br />Clerk Blanchard read the Police Report for.December 1960 and the <br />Report for the year of 1960. Mayor Crane moved, seconded by Malvin <br />to accept the December 1960 and Yearly report of 1960 of the Mounds <br />View Police Department as read. 5 Ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />Mayor Crane presented a letter from the Minnesota Safety Council <br />requesting that this Village take a survey of the traffic within the <br />''illage during the past year and send in a report. This will be <br />imed over to the Police Commission to make the report. <br />Attorney Meyers reported that the Resolution on Meter Settings not complete yet. <br />A memo on the proposed street plan for the Village was submitted <br />by Mr. Meyers. This will be gone over at the next agenda meeting. <br />Mayor Crane suggested that the Council should meet with the <br />Highway Department to find out what their plans are for the new <br />Highway 10 & Highway 35 W. It was decided that a Highway Department <br />representative will be invited to a public Council meeting after <br />the Council has had an opportunity to discuss this informally. <br />Attorney Meyers presented a Proposed Ordinance specifying that <br />Plumbing Inspection fees go directly to the Village. This is an <br />amendment to Ordinance #15. Motion by Malvin, seconded by Hodges <br />to approve. 5 Ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />Attorney Meyers presented to the Council,and Extract of Minutes <br />of the December 12, 1960 meeting easing a Resolution granting a <br />Special Use Permit for the construction of a Gasoline Service Statinn. <br />The Clerk was instructed to send a copy of this Resolution to Mr. <br />Melberg. <br />An Ordinance amending Ordinance #67 on re- zoning of certain (to Coun <br />property was submitted by Attorney Meyers. Mr. Meyers will send a copy / <br />Attorney Meyers read a Resolution placing the tax assessment of <br />Emil Pearson back on the tax rolls. <br />
