PJOCEZOIITG 3 OF THI VILLAG7I COUNCIL <br />VILLAG-, 0 ' i10UITD 3 TrITT T <br />RAI 3 Y COUNTY' <br />30TA <br />0000_._s <br />The regular meeting of the Bounds Vier Village Council was <br />called to order at 8 :00 P.i;., January 23, 1961 by Layor Allan B. <br />Crane at the Red Oak School. <br />Umbers Present: <br />mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Attorney: <br />Engineer: <br />Allan B. Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Donald C. Hodges <br />Perry Iialvin <br />i:elford Christensen <br />Richard I•ieycrs <br />Les Knutson <br />A motion was made by iial_vin to accept the minutes of the proviou <br />meeting as read. Seconded by-Hodges. 5 Ayes for approval. Lotion <br />carried. <br />Iir. William A. Dictrichson from Northern States Power Company <br />presented a contract and Resolution for electrical service to the <br />Pumping Station. The contract was examined and rates and services <br />discussed by the Council. Notion by Christensen to accept the con- <br />tract and Resolution as presented. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes for <br />approval. Iiotion carried. <br />Iiayor Crane stated that because an emergency had been declared <br />by the Council, the Village had requested bids for a pumping in- <br />stallation from six (6) firms, well known in their field, and asked <br />the Village .Engineer to report on the bids received and his findings <br />on a responsible low bidder. <br />Iir. Knutson reported that of the six bids requested, four had <br />been received and that the bids were opened at 5 :00 P.U. in the office <br />of the Village Engineer on January 23, 1961 in the presence of Villag. <br />Clerk Blanchard, Trustees i:alvin and Christense, and Waterworks Supt. <br />Skiba. <br />The low bid was received from Fairbanks - horse, 220 East 5th St. <br />St. Paul, iiinnesota in the amount of 017,975.00 work to begin 21 day <br />after award of contract and to be finished in 28 days. <br />Second bid was received from Layne- iiinnesota, 3147 IT. Califorr <br />iiinneapolis, hinnesota in the amount of ::18,419.10 work to begin 14 <br />days after award of contract and to be finished in 24 days. <br />Third bid received from Iiuellcr Bros., Gaylord, hi_Inesota in the <br />amount of (,;19,379.76, work to begin 21 days after award of contract <br />and to be finished in 28 days. <br />Fourth bid received from Jacuzzi Bros., Inc. 6160 Wayzata Blvd, <br />Iiinneapolis, Iiinnesota, in the amount of ;)19,875.00, work to begin <br />30 days after award of contract and to he completed in 40 days. <br />
