Page 2. <br />000020 <br />Proceedings of Mounds View Council Meeting- February 13th, 1961 <br />Mrs. I. Wille, 7911 Spring Lk. Pk. Rd. stated that the proposed <br />extension of Hillview Rd. went through or very close to her home and <br />that there would be a fire hydrant in the center of the road. She <br />further stated that her deed carried an easement (5 ft.) for an alley- <br />way behind her home. <br />At this point Trustee Christensen requested that anyone who had <br />a complaint or knew of another person who had a complaint on the <br />Proposal write a letter to the Village Office,, stating the complaint <br />or objection and giving their name, address and legal description of <br />their property, <br />Mr. A.K. Bassett of 5060 Long Lake Rd., "He has a lot being <br />crossed by Proposed Road and the road would make his lot un- salabld: <br />At this point Mayor Crane again stated that this was merely a <br />Proposed and not a Final road plan for the Village. <br />Mr. 'Terdien, 6940 Fairchild, stated that he did not want the <br />Proposed Road behind his house extended and would send a letter to <br />that effect to the Village Office. <br />Leo Higgins, 8150 Eastwood Drive, stated "He does not want the <br />road". <br />Mr. Herbst of 8180 Eastwood Drive, stated he was 100% in favor <br />of the Proposed Road - West of Eastwood Dr. <br />Glen Dawson, 2201 Lambert Dr., does not want the road between <br />Bronson and Lambert Drive. <br />Mr. B.C. Colby, 1740 County Rd. 1 , "said the easements on Co.Rd. <br />I were not as shown on the map and that the Council and the Village <br />Engineer were aware of this. <br />Mr. Kroonblawd, 2280 Hwy. 10, wants a service road in front of <br />his place as he must drive out of his way to get onto the Highway. <br />Mr. Lindquist, 2521 Co. Rd. H., Does not want the Proposed Road <br />No. of Co. Rd. H. <br />Mrs. Schmidt, who gave no address, stated that she had several <br />lots in the Village, but at the present time she was only objecting to <br />the Proposed Road , South of Co. Rd. I, running through to Sp.Lk.Pk. Rd. <br />It was brought out in general discussion that one Proposed Road <br />would run through the school property at Red Oak and Sherwood. <br />At 9 :10 P.M., it was moved by Christensen to recess the Hearing <br />until Monday, April 24th at 8 :00 P.M. Seconded by Malvin, 5 Ayes for <br />Approval. <br />The Mayor introduced Dick Jones, our Legislator from this District.. <br />Mr. Jones stated that he had talked to a member of the Metropolitan. <br />Airports Commission that day and "had told him he thought the meeting <br />scheduled for Wednesday, February 15th at 1 P.M. was unfair to the <br />people that were interested in attending, also that it should be changed <br />to a Public Hearing". He was informed that the Commission was under <br />no obligation to have any type of formal Hearing whatsoever, and that <br />their meeting would go on as scheduled. <br />
